	BOARD MEETING SUMMARY Nov 4, 2003 PUBLIC HEARING SUMMARY President Patchett called the Public Hearing to order at 5:34 P.M. There were no requests submitted to address the board. Hearing for Limitation of Administrative Costs: Superintendent Acklin explained the purpose of the meeting and the need for the waiver application: · The previous superintendent resigned her position early in the year leaving four months when her salary wasn’t paid from the administration account. · The interim superintendent was paid out of the board purchased service account, not the administration account. · The new superintendent’s salary reflects an increase over the previous superintendent’s projected salary. Rich Holm asked to make a comment on the waiver application. He felt there should be a financial report attached to the minutes of this meeting to prove what occurred. Superintendent Acklin explained that such information was already included as an attachment to the waiver application. Secretary Trimble read the Limitation of Administrative Costs Resolution. The Board approved the Application for Waiver or Modification of State Board Rules and/or School Code Mandates. The meeting adjourned at 5:46 P.M. SCHOOL BOARD SELF-EVALUATION President Patchett called the meeting to order at 6:05 P.M. The Board went into Executive Session at 6:05 P.M. for self-evaluation, practices and procedures, or professional ethics and meeting with a representative of the Illinois State Board of Education of which the Shiloh Board of Education is a member. (5 ILCS 120/2(c)(16) The Board returned to Open Session and adjourned at 9:35 P.M.
