Principal’s report: Homecoming week is behind us!!! Powder-puff Game was Oct. 8th with the Jr. Class winning. Game was Oct. 10th. Was very impressed with the time and effort the Student Council put into decorating the gym. Student Council did video games this year in lieu of a dance and more students stayed for that. Feels it was a success and gives kudos to Student Council for thinking outside the box. Congratulations to them for coming up with a neat idea. Gym was decorated very nicely for the coronation. Congratulations to the homecoming court: King- Alex Dunn and Queen- Ferrin McGinness
County workshop was held Oct. 10. Large number of our teachers were here for ThinkLink training. Teachers felt ThinkLink was very valuable training.

Brown commented that perhaps foreign exchange students shouldn’t be considered for attendant as this honor should go to a resident student. He doesn’t want to take this away from students who live here.

Superintendent’s report: Reviewed the Title I Report which is put together by Chuck White, Federal Grants Director.
Our school, grades K-2, was a pilot for ThinkLink last year and grades 3-8 are a pilot his year. The teachers were excited during the training. This program allows the teachers to identify the specific learning areas of individual students which need to be addressed.
