Career English I's main concern is getting students' English skills ready for the work area. Emphasis will be put on vocabulary development, spelling, and correct usage in written work. Skills in interpersonal, listening, and reading for information will also be improved. Computer skills and communication will be looked at too.

Students in Career English II will be focusing on preparing their English skills for the work place. Vocabulary development, spelling, and correct usage in written work will be the accented areas in the learning curriculum. Interpersonal skills, reading for information, and listening skills will be enhanced. Computer skills and communication will also be payed attention to. In accordance with Shiloh's graduation program, the students much also write a research paper during first semester. A 50% or higher on this paper is required in order to pass the class and graduate.
