Art Survey ![]()
This course is designed
to teach students knowledge of the importance of art in society. Students
will discuss a particular time period or artist, and from that knowledge will
complete a project based on it. Areas of study may include but are not limited
to painting and drawing (various media), sculpture, jewelery, ceramics, and
craft areas (weaving, candle making, etc.). This course is designed to expand
student knowledge so that an understandingis placed between a particular art
and its origin. This class is taught to encourage students to find particular
interests in the arts and encourage
the beginning of portfolio quality work.
