Mrs. Belobraydic enjoys teaching at Shiloh School. She really likes being around the students.
In her spare time she likes to read, garden, play golf, and play with her grandson. She also
enjoys having company.


Illinois History - (1 semester, .5 credit, no prerequisites, 10, 11, 12 grades)
This course presents a general survey of Illinois HIstory, and its presentation wil range from the study of the "first American" who occupied Illinois to the study of present day Illinois. The course pays specific attention to people and events relevant to Illinois' history, as well as familiarizing the student with the map of Illinois. It also emphasizes the state's importance to the United States and the world's economies and commerce.

United States History - (2 semesters, 1 credit, prerequisite Junior status)
Designed to allow students to explore the vital elements of the American tradition. It covers the sweep of American History from Reconstuction to the present. Content is emphasized and the course stucture relies upon a standartd chronological textbook from its organization. Included in this course are topics such as ethnic groups, Nazi atrocities, black history, Asian American contributions, labor unions, the history of women and sexual harassment.

American Government - (1 semester, .5 credits, prerequisite Senior status)
An in-depth study of the United States and Illinois constitution and flags, and an overview of present day governmental structures in the United States. The election process is included within the frameworks of this course, as well as the responsibilities of citizenship.

Advanced Placement History - (2 semesters, 1 credit, prerequisite Senior status, an A or B in US History or the consent of instructor)
This course is designed to be the equivalent of a freshman college and can earn students college credit. It is a two-semester survey of American History from the age of exploration and discovery to the present. Solid reading and writing skills, along with a willingness to devote considerable time to homework and study, are neccessary to succeed. Empasis is placed on critical and evaluative thinking skills, essay writing , interpretation of original documents, and historiography. A short research paper is required.
