English I and II
Taught by Mrs. Long
English I focuses on literature, composition, and grammar. Besides the basic text, students will be studying the novel To Kill A Mockingbird. These students will also be required to be involved in the Raider Reading Program (RRP). In this program, the children will read a book/novel of their choice daily, and later make journal entries summarizing what they have read and responding to it. (Basic Text: The Language of Literature, Grade 9 and English Grammer and Composition, 3rd Course.)

English II concentrates on literature, composition, and grammer. The novel A Separate Piece will be studied during this course in addition to the text. The students in this class will also being participating in the Raider Reading Program. (Basic Text: The Language Literature, Grade 10 and English Grammer and Composition 4th course.)
